September Online 11+ Groups

More Information

Small interactive online groups for children preparing to 11+ assessments.

Sessions take place live via Pencil Spaces and are designed to help children build confidence while strengthening maths, English and reasoning skills in a supportive environment.

Year 4  11+ Foundations

Tuesdays 4:00 - 5:00pm

£20 per session

This group focuses on building secure foundations in:

  • maths fluency and problem solving

  • reading comprehension and vocabulary

  • grammar, punctuation and sentence skills

  • mathematical reasoning and logical thinking

Children will strengthen the core English and maths skills that underpin future 11+ success through engaging, interactive activities designed to build confidence, resilience and independent thinking. Sessions combine explicit teaching, games, discussion and problem-solving activities in a small, supportive group, giving every child the opportunity to participate, ask questions and develop their understanding. The focus is on developing strong, transferable skills to support both future 11+ preparation and success in the classroom.

Tuesdays 5:15 - 6:30pm

£22 per session

Year 5  11+ Preparation

This group prepares children for the style of thinking, problem-solving and English and maths skills needed for 11+ assessments. The content has been designed with the new Gloucestershire-style 11+ assessment in mind and will continue to evolve as further information becomes available. Parents preparing for other 11+ assessments are welcome to get in touch to discuss whether the group would be suitable for their child's needs.

Sessions may include:

  • reading comprehension and vocabulary development

  • maths reasoning and multi-step problem-solving

  • grammar, punctuation and sentence skills

  • reasoning, problem-solving and exam strategies

Children will build on the foundations developed in Year 4 by applying their English and maths skills to increasingly challenging 11+ activities. Through engaging lessons and carefully selected practice, they will develop confidence, resilience and independent thinking while becoming increasingly familiar with the style and challenge of 11+ assessments.
